   Consultant-Team Member

  • Participated as a team member on an ongoing development project between the Monterey Institute of International Studies and La Coordinadora-Asociación Mangle. The Development projects consist of infrastructure development, sustainable agriculture development, capacity building, economic development, and environmental preservation. Worked with the environmental team, focusing on designing an impact study on the newly enacted laws concerning endangered turtle egg collection, and created policy recommendations for economic alternatives to selling these eggs.

 

CERCH ENTERPRISE, INC., Lancaster, California                                April 2007 – August 2010     Project Manager/Program Coordinator

  • Directed organization, planning, administration, and logistics of all projects, based domestically and internationally. Prepared proposals, estimates, and negotiated contracts with customers. This resulted in successful completion of projects, and an increase in profitability and customer base.
  • Oversaw five to eight technicians per project and handled recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and obtaining work visas for all overseas projects that contributed to the success of every project.
  • Created and maintained budgets for each project, and developed work flow charts and tracked project hours using spreadsheets to streamline operations.

  • Led a four-person team in Afghanistan whose major functions were multi-cultural data collection, developing and implementing survey research, conducting interviews as part of data collection, performing needs assessments, leading focus groups, and participating in personnel selection.
